IT'S JOB FAIR SEASON!
March and April are Job Fair Season, and this year looks to be starting off with a bang. So far, these are the ones taking place at the Goodwood Library this month:
Dept. of Health/Medicaid on March 4th from 10:00 - 2:00
Acadian Ambulance on March 18th from 5:00 - 8:00
Blue Bayou on March 26th from 3:00 - 7:00
Also, please save the date for these large multi-company job fairs in April:
CAPRI’s Second Chance Job Fair, April 14th, 9:00 - 3:00, at the Goodwood Library
The Career Center's Teen Summer Job Fair, April 28th, 4:00 - 6:00, at the Goodwood Library
EmployBR's Annual City-Wide Job Fair, April 29th, 9:00 - 1:00, at the River Center
March Seminars
PRODUCTIVITY HOUR
EVERY MONDAY IN MARCH 2026
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Main Library at Goodwood
Room D, Second Floor
Productivity Hour is for workers of all stripes – even students and hobbyists.
Bring your laptop, literature, or project and join us for an hour of productivity.
Participants are expected to work quietly, and at the end of the session everyone will be asked to share an update on their progress.
Free Wi-fi access will be available, along with pen and paper, and light refreshments. Laptops are available upon request. Ages 16 and up are welcome to attend.
No registration required - just show up with your project!
JOB CLUB FOR JOBSEEKERS IN PROFESSIONAL CAREERS
EVERY FRIDAY IN MARCH, 2026

Part job search workshop, part support group, this unique 12-week program is free of charge and open to individuals in white-collar careers who are seeking employment.
Job searching can be a lonely and discouraging activity, and this group will provide you with a safe space and like-minded professionals. Join us every Friday to share experiences, network, encourage, learn the latest job search techniques, and be accountable to each other. Registration is required at 225-231-3733 or [email protected].

Dr. Brandy Tyson from BRCC and Prep Academy Tutors leads this workshop aimed at helping teens and young adults improve their executive functioning. She will discuss ways to help students stay focused, organized, and ready to learn.
This program is intended to boost students' success in school, ability to manage responsibilities, and build confidence. There will be scenario challenges and self-checks.
